Medibank Melbourne Ice are the reigning Australian Ice Hockey League (AIHL) Goodall Cup Champions a league which has a reputation for being one of the premier ice hockey leagues in the Southern Hemisphere. Since its entry into the league in 2002, Melbourne Ice has built up a strong core of players and supporters, and an increasing number of sponsors and members. As member of the Australian Ice Hockey League, Melbourne Ice is affiliated with the Australian Ice Hockey Federation and sanctioned by Ice Hockey Victoria.
Melbourne Ice is a not-for-profit incorporated association, managed by a volunteer management committee. The management group comprises individuals with high level experience in coaching, sports management, business, government and the community sector.
