In 2012 the Medibank Melbourne Ice will be signing 6 imports:
- 4 import players based on resume and references
- 2 import players based on resume, references and try outs who would play local ‘Premier A’ ice hockey, compete for a playing spot each week and be called up as emergencies.
As a measure of the commitment of those involved in the sport, players, coaches and administrators of Medibank Melbourne Ice are not paid for their participation. Medibank Melbourne Ice comprises the best hockey talent in Victoria, aided by the recruitment of well-credentialed import players. Balancing this recruitment is a commitment to fostering and developing young local players.
